  1. Chocolate, Banana and Nut Butter Smoothie

By using protein powder and a banana, this smoothie is the perfect post-workout drink for keeping your energy levels up. It also makes a great afternoon treat due to its sweet flavours.

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 300 ml vegan milk
  • 4 tsp vegan chocolate protein powder
  • 2 tsp nut butter
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp flax seeds
  • 1 tsp sweetener, e.g. agave nectar (optional)
  • A handful of spinach (optional)

Add all of these ingredients to a blender and serve immediately. The frozen banana will add a cold element, but if you find this smoothie to not be cold enough for you, add approximately 1 cup of ice and blend again.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text text_larger=”no”]

  1. Mixed Berry Smoothie

A very simple smoothie, but with so much flavour! This can either be made using vegan milk, or alternatively some vegan yoghurt (approximately 50g) and some water to thin the mixture to your desired consistency.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text text_larger=”no”]Ingredients:

  • 150g of mixed berries – We recommend raspberries, strawberries and blueberries
  • 1 banana
  • 200ml vegan milk

  1. Green Smoothie

Green smoothies notoriously have a bad rep for not tasting very nice, but this one has the perfect amount of natural sweetness to balance out the taste of the greens. Plus, the addition of avocado not only adds high amounts of fibre and potassium, it will make your smoothie super creamy!

Ingredients:

  • ½ an avocado
  • 1 banana
  • A couple of handfuls of spinach
  • 120g of chopped pineapple
  • 300ml vegan milk
  • 1 tsp flax seeds
  • 2 tsp agave nectar (or an alternative sweetener)

  1. Banana and Strawberry Smoothie

Using frozen fruit (if you can) will take this smoothie to the next level, making it icy cold and so refreshing. If you aren’t able to freeze your fruit, we recommend adding approximately ½ a cup of ice before blending.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text text_larger=”no”]Either keep it simple by combining the banana, strawberries and orange juice and blending, or add some seeds for a nutritional kick such as flax, chia or hemp seeds (or, add them all!)

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 120g strawberries
  • 200 ml orange juice
  • 1 tsp flax seeds (optional)
  • 1 tsp chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 tsp hemp seeds (optional)

  1. Blueberry and Spinach Smoothie

Combining the iron and calcium from the spinach, the vitamin C and K from blueberries and the fibre and antioxidants from the oats, this smoothie not only tastes fantastic, looks beautiful due to its purple colouring, it also has a high nutritional value!

Ingredients:

  • 120g blueberries
  • 120g spinach
  • 50g old-fashioned/rolled oats
  • 200ml vegan milk
  • 1 tsp agave nectar (optional)
